Letter From the Mission President

November 18, 2010 (I think this was a typo, and should have been December)

Dear De Victoria Family,

I am writing to inform you that your son, Elder DeVictoria, has been called to be a District Leader.

As a District Leader, Elder DeVictoria will preside over two or three areas and will be responsible for assisting the missionaries in his district in planning their work and in setting appropriate goals. He will go on weekly exchanges with Elders in his District where he will teach better techniques and encourage the missionaries in their work. Another responsibility will be to interview investigators within his District who are ready for baptism. I'm sure he will lead his District by setting an example of what an effective missionary does, says and is.

This experience will help Elder DeVictoria to develop and improve his leadership qualities and to be a good example to his companions. I know that he will be blessed for his service in this important work of the Lord.

May God bless you and may you rejoice with your son as he helps bring people unto Christ.
